Jenner & Block Partner David M. Greenwald will moderate a session at the Georgetown Law Advanced eDiscovery Institute on November 22.  Titled “ESI and Privilege: Taking a Fresh Approach,” David’s session will explore the issues and strategies related to protecting privilege and work product in eDiscovery.  The Institute, noted as the leading eDiscovery conference of its kind in the nation, will be held from November 21-22 at the Ritz-Carlton-Tysons Corner, 1700 Tysons Blvd., McLean, VA. 

David is co-author of the comprehensive treatise Testimonial Privileges (West 2012) and co-editor of the IBA treatise Privilege and Confidentiality: An International Handbook (2012).  He is executive vice chair of the Insurance Committee of the IBA and an active member of Working Group 1 of The Sedona Conference.  He speaks and writes regularly on issues relating to the attorney-client privilege and work product doctrine under US law and their analogues in non-US jurisdictions, and on issues relating to e-discovery, ethics, and insurance and reinsurance.  David is co-chair of the firm’s Reinsurance Practice and a member of the Complex Commercial Litigation, Insurance Litigation and Counseling, Domestic and International Arbitration and Bankruptcy Practices. He litigates in courts throughout the country, represents clients in domestic and international arbitrations, and conducts internal investigations domestically and around the world.  David is a frequent speaker on topics relating to privilege, ethics, e-discovery, and insurance and reinsurance.
