Jenner & Block Partners Amanda S. Amert and Reena R. Bajowala will speak at the American Conference Institute's 7th National Forum on ERISA Litigation, to be held in Chicago on April 28-29, 2014.  A co-chair of the Forum, Amanda will make welcoming remarks on April 28 and also participate as a panelist at a session on April 29 called “ERISA Fiduciary Litigation: Minimizing Exposure to Fiduciary Liability Through Procedural Prudence and Documentation, New and Emerging Theories of Liability and Defenses, Strategies for Statute of Limitations and Statute of Repose Defenses, and More.”  Reena will be a panelist at a session on April 28 called “Equitable Remedies Under ERISA §502(a)(3), Cigna v. Amara and U.S. Airways v. McCutchen: The Ongoing Fallout From These Cases and Their Progeny.”  The firm is an associate sponsor of the Forum, to be held at the Omni Chicago Hotel. 

Amanda is chair of the ERISA Litigation Practice and has a wide variety of business litigation, appellate and arbitration experience.  Recognized for her substantial experience in ERISA law, she has represented ERISA plan fiduciaries and service providers in federal courts around the country at the trial and appellate levels, in both individual and class-action lawsuits.

Reena is a partner in the Complex Commercial Litigation, Class Action, ERISA Litigation and Technology Litigation Practices.  She regularly provides legal industry analysis of current issues relating to her practice in publications and at speaking engagements, particularly those involving ERISA and class actions.
