"Life Science Panel: How to Deal with an Increasingly 'Activist' Supreme Court," US Patent Forum

Jenner & Block Partner Bradford P. Lyerla will speak on a panel at Managing Intellectual Property’s US Patent Forum 2014 in Washington, D.C. on March 25.  Titled “Life science panel: How to Deal with an Increasingly ‘Activist’ Supreme Court," the panel will discuss recent decisions; examine what constitutes patentable matter and how a lack of legal stability impacts the industry; and identify possible strategies on how to respond to the Court’s new activism. 

Brad is the co-chair of the firm’s Patent Litigation and Counseling Practice and a member of the Antitrust and Competition Law Practice and the Trade Secret and Restrictive Covenant Litigation and Counseling Practice.  He has tried dozens of cases representing such companies as General Dynamics, General Electric, Quaker Oats, MCI, AM International, Solo Cup Company and others.  His litigation has involved a wide variety of technologies, including applied mathematics, communications, electrical and software engineering, computing, computer chips, medical devices, chemicals, food science, manufacturing, consumer products, aeronautics and pharmaceuticals.
