Jenner & Block Partner Brent Caslin presented “Protecting Trade Secrets: New Case Law and Legislative Developments” at the 22nd Annual Seattle Conference on Technology Law on December 13, 2013.  His presentation focused on recent changes in the law of trade secrets and related statutes, including the Economic Espionage Act, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and the Uniform Trade Secrets Act, as well as the increasingly important role of the U.S. International Trade Commission in the enforcement of U.S. trade secret law.  Brent also addressed several legislative proposals aimed at strengthening trade secret protections.  The Seattle Conference on Technology Law brings together practitioners, industry executives and agency officials from around the country to discuss critical and emerging issues in information and technology law.
