Jenner & Block Partner Jessie K. Liu  recently spoke at the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers’ ninth annual conference.  Titled “To Be or Not to Be: Classic and Contemporary Motives Behind the Government’s Case,” Jessie’s session explored considerations and strategies at the beginning of a white collar criminal case, including designing and executing a parallel internal investigation; retaining counsel for the corporation and individual employees; privilege issues; media tactics; and motions practice.  The conference was held October 24, 2013, in Washington, D.C.

Jessie is a member of the White Collar Defense and Investigations Practice.  She focuses on advising and defending government contractors and other companies facing investigations, enforcement actions, and litigation.  She has substantial experience in the False Claims Act.
