On July 5, 2013, Jenner & Block Partner Lindsay C. Harrison gave a lecture on Legal Argumentation and Debate to the Harvard Debate Council summer workshop. The workshop is designed for Chinese high school students to learn about argumentation and debate in the United States, and more than 200 students participate each summer. Lindsay’s lecture explained separation of powers and the role of courts in the United States political system and discussed various types of legal arguments, including original intent, textualism and the constitutional avoidance canon.
Lindsay is member of the Appellate and Supreme Court Practice. She regularly participates in appellate litigation matters before the federal appellate courts and the Supreme Court in a diverse array of subject matters.
