On June 20, 2013, Partner Amanda S. Amert and Associate Sarah E. Haddy spoke at the Hager Strategic Private Health Insurance Exchange Symposium, which was held at Jenner & Block’s DC office.  At the one-day conference, which focused on key issues faced by employers as they consider the introduction of health exchanges,  Amanda and Sarah discussed legal considerations in contracting with a private health exchange provider.

Amanda is Chair of Jenner & Block’s ERISA Litigation Practice and a member of the Complex Commercial Litigation Practice.  She has a wide variety of business litigation, appellate and arbitration experience in such matters as contract disputes, intellectual property issues and employment litigation, as well as how to avoid benefits litigation. 

Sarah, a member of the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice, advises clients on a variety of employee benefit matters and has considerable experience in health and welfare issues, including the implementation of recent health care reform requirements under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, and qualified plan matters.
