On June 21, 2013, Partner Brian R. Boch moderated the panel discussion “Battle of the Economic Experts VI: What Does the Future Hold?” at Jenner & Block’s Chicago Conference Center. Panelists included Richard A. Epstein, Laurence A. Tisch Professor of Law at New York University; Jaimi Goodfriend, University of Illinois’ Investment Banking Academy Director and Adjunct Lecturer at DePaul University; Gail MarksJarvis, Chicago Tribune financial columnist; Terry Savage, nationally recognized expert on personal finance, the economy and the markets; and Tom Goldblatt, Founder and Managing Director, Ravinia Capital. The economic experts provided their perspectives on the turbulent and challenging economic landscape, including responding to these questions: Is the risk of a double-dip recession gone? Will the stock market continue its upward path? What does all of this mean for the transactional market?
