HarrisMartin Publishing Chinese Drywall Conference - The Financial Impact of Chinese Drywall-Related Losses: Insurance and Other Strategic Considerations

Jenner & Block Partner Kali N. Bracey will speak on a panel titled, “Third-Party (CGL) Policies: Is Coverage Available for the Lawsuit Against You?” at a HarrisMartin Chinese Drywall Insurance Conference in Miami Beach, FL, October 22, 2009.  Ms. Bracey will talk about “occurrence” and construction defects as an insurable event.  Ms. Bracey will also discuss “expected or intended” and “known loss” issues.  She will discuss “legally obligated to pay” vs. “voluntary payment issues.” Ms. Bracey will also address damages due to property damage or bodily injury, triggers of coverage and the potential implication of older policies, and your work your product, sistership, impaired property and other exclusions. 

Ms. Bracey is a partner in Jenner & Block’s Washington, DC office.  She is a member of the Firm’s Litigation Department and its Insurance Litigation and Counseling, and Reinsurance Practices. Ms. Bracey has been working on a wide variety of litigation matters in state and federal courts throughout the country representing clients in redistricting, copyright, telecommunications, insurance coverage, and product liability cases. She also has an active white collar criminal defense practice that includes representing clients in internal investigations and qui tam matters.
