“Class Action Litigation 2013,” Practising Law Institute, New York, NY

Jenner & Block Partners Susan J. Kohlmann and Howard S. Suskin will participate in a Practising Law Institute program titled “Class Action Litigation 2013” in New York City on July 10.  Howard will chair the program, and Susan will serve as a faculty member, discussing the topic “Litigation Strategies” and best practices for class action defense counsel.   Other topics  to be addressed include an overview of recent Supreme Court rulings impacting class actions and advice about avoiding pitfalls of deficient class action notice and claims administration.  The firm is a Privileged Member of PLI with unlimited access to PLI’s live programs and webcasts at no cost. 

Susan is chair of the Trademark, Advertising and Unfair Competition Practice and a litigator in the Content, Media and Entertainment Practice. She has handled and tried a variety of complex litigation matters, including, among other things, copyright, trademark and trade secret disputes.

Howard is co-chair of the Class Action Practice and a member of the Securities Litigation and Enforcement and International Arbitration Practices.  He has substantial first-chair experience representing individuals and business entities in civil and criminal securities matters, including class actions alleging securities fraud and misrepresentation claims, derivative actions claiming breach of fiduciary duty, contests for corporate control, insider trading investigations and broker-dealer issues.
