“Climate Change Law: How Obama’s First Term Changed the Climate on Climate Change and Predictions for the Second Term,” Chicago Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section Environmental Law Committee

Jenner & Block Partner Gabrielle Sigel will speak on “Climate Change Law: How Obama's First Term Changed the Climate on Climate Change and Predictions for the Second Term” at a meeting of the Chicago Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section Environmental Law Committee on Tuesday, May 21.  The meeting will take place from 12:15-1:15 p.m., at Jenner & Block’s Chicago office, and a complimentary lunch will be provided.  MCLE credit is available.  Associate Allison A. Torrence is co-chair of the YLS Environmental Law Committee and was instrumental in arranging for this presentation.

Gabrielle is co-chair of the Climate and Clean Technology Law Practice and a founding member of the Environmental and Workplace Health & Safety Law Practice.  She is the editor of two of the firm’s online resource centers, Climate Change Update and Environmental Cost Recovery & Lender Liability Update, and is a regular contributor to the firm’s Corporate Environmental Lawyer blog.  Gabrielle publishes extensively and is a frequent speaker on climate change, workplace health and safety and hazardous material exposure and remediation issues.

Allison is a member of the firm’s Environmental and Workplace Health & Safety Law and Climate and Clean Technology Law Practices and has significant experience in environmental litigation, working on cases involving toxic torts, CERCLA, RCRA, and the Clean Air Act, among other matters.  She has been recognized by the Young Lawyers Section of the Chicago Bar Association with the David C. Hilliard Award for Outstanding Committee Service for her work on the Environmental Law Committee.
