Jenner & Block Partner Bradford P. Lyerla will speak at the U.S. Patent Forum on March 19 in Washington, DC. Mr. Lyerla will join a panel titled “AIA and NPEs: Impact or More of the Same?” Topics will include whether new legislation has changed the activities of NPEs, whether the Joinder Provision in the Patent Reform Act has leveled the playing field, and what must be done to protect innovation and help U.S. corporations flourish. Organized by Managing Intellectual Property and sponsored in part by the Firm, the forum will be held at the Willard InterContinental, 1401 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC.
Mr. Lyerla is Co-Chair of the Firm’s Patent Litigation and Counseling Practice Group and a member of the Antitrust and Competition Law and Trade Secret Litigation and Counseling Practice Groups. He is best known for representing corporations in patent and trade secret litigation. He has tried dozens of cases representing such companies as General Dynamics, General Electric, Quaker Oats, MCI, AM International and others.
