Jenner & Block Partner Katherine M. Rahill and Associate Allison A. Torrence will speak at the November 26, 2012 Chicago Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section (YLS) Environmental Law Committee meeting. Ms. Rahill and Ms. Torrence, who is Co-Chair of the Committee, will discuss key environmental concerns affecting businesses. Attorneys and law students are encouraged to attend; MCLE credit is available. The event will be held at Jenner & Block’s Chicago office, 353 N. Clark St, from 12:15-1:15 p.m., with complimentary lunch providedby the Firm.
Ms. Rahill is a member of the Firm’s Environmental and Workplace Health & Safety Law and Climate and Clean Technology Law Practices. Her comprehensive environmental law practice includes litigation, transactions and regulatory compliance matters. She counsels clients on complex corporate and real estate transactions and regulatory compliance issues as well as toxic tort litigation and state and federal clean-up actions.
Ms. Torrence is a member of the Firm’s Environmental and Workplace Health & Safety Law and Climate and Clean Technology Law Practices. The Chicago Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section has honored her with the David C. Hilliard Award for Outstanding Committee Service for her work on its Environmental Law Committee. She has experience in workplace health and safety matters, including dealing with state and federal regulators and performing environmental due diligence for complex corporate transactions.
