Jenner & Block Partners Terri L. Mascherin and John R. Storino spoke at a Chicago Bar Association seminar titled “Ethical Issues for Litigators,” on June 7, 2012.  Mr. Storino, Chair of the CBA Committee on Attorney Malpractice, served as moderator of a panel that included Ms. Mascherin, who spoke about ethical issues in settlement discussions; Cook County Circuit Court Judge Thomas R. Mulroy, Jr., who discussed the importance of understanding who the client is; and Wendy Muchman, Illinois ARDC Chief of Litigation and Professional Education, who addressed ethical issues in witness preparation.

Ms. Mascherin is a partner in the Firm's Litigation Department and a member of the Complex Commercial Litigation, International Arbitration, and Trademark, Advertising and Unfair Competition Practices. She is a first chair trial attorney who is effective in both jury and bench trials, and in representing clients in arbitrations and arguing appeals in state and federal appellate courts throughout the United States.  A former President of the Chicago Bar Association, Ms. Mascherin has been nationally recognized for her legal work.

Mr. Storino is a litigator who represents lawyers and law firms in professional responsibility matters, including malpractice litigation, conducting internal investigations at law firms and representing attorneys before disciplinary agencies.  He is a member of the Firm’s Professional Responsibility Practice, as well as the Real Estate and Construction Litigation and Labor and Employment Practices.  Mr. Storino routinely lectures on professional responsibility matters.
