The Legal 500 UK Recognises International Arbitration and Commercial Litigation Practices and Lawyers in the Investigation, Compliance and Defence Practice

The 2019 edition of The Legal 500 United Kingdom recognises Jenner & Block for two practice categories.  For International Arbitration, the firm is noted for its “strength in the enforcement of arbitral awards in foreign jurisdictions.”  For Commercial Litigation, the guide highlights the firm’s experience with advising on disputes with cross-border elements; acting for clients in challenging jurisdictions (Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Romania and Africa); and serving clients in the financial and energy sectors.  The services provided for both practices mentioned are noted as “first rate, with top-quality advice and output from knowledgeable lawyers.”

In addition, Partners Charlie Lightfoot and Jason Yardley are named “leading individuals” for International Arbitration and Commercial Litigation, respectively.  As co-chair of the firm’s International  Arbitration Practice and managing partner of the London office, Mr. Lightfoot “transforms clients’ needs into something that adds value to claims,” and Mr. Yardley “provides excellent strategic thinking and excellent knowledge of the detail,” according to the guide’s editorial.

The editorial also names Partner James S. Woolrich as a “Next Generation Lawyer” in Commercial Litigation and notes him as a “great strategist.”

Partner Christian Tuddenham and Special Counsel Elizabeth Shimmin are recommended for their work in Commercial Litigation, Partner Christine Braamskamp is recommended for her work in Fraud: White Collar Crime and Regulatory Investigations and Corporate Crime, and Partner Paul Feldberg is recommended for his work in Regulatory Investigations and Corporate Crime.
