The American Lawyer has again named Jenner & Block to its A-List, which recognizes the 20 top-performing Am Law 200 firms in the United States based on a combination of financial and cultural factors.
This is the seventh time the firm has appeared on the A-List since The American Lawyer created it in 2003 as a way to highlight “the most well-rounded firms – the best of the best.”
The metrics calculated for inclusion on the list are revenue per lawyer (RPL), pro bono commitment, associate satisfaction, racial diversity and gender diversity, with pro bono and RPL given double weight. For the second year, the A-List formula included the number of female equity partners as an additional component.
The firm last made the list in 2016. In its commentary, The American Lawyer notes that Jenner & Block jumped four places from last year’s ranking, boosted by a perfect pro bono score and improvement in nearly every other category.
