Jenner & Block Partners Benjamin R. Mulcahy and Gina Reif Ilardi are featured in Variety’s 2016 “Dealmakers Impact Report.”  Mr. Mulcahy is recognized for dealing with the “industry-wide controversy of advertisers claiming their media-buying agencies short-changed them on volume-advertising discounts.”  Ms. Ilardi is highlighted for clearing difficult music rights to 16 videos in just two weeks for a mash-up Chrysler television commercial.  “Together,” the report observes, “the duo represents Chrysler (for upcoming movie Fast 8), ESPN, Fox Cable Networks, Game Show Network, Lionsgate, brewer Molson Coors and The Weinstein Co.”  According to Variety, the ninth annual report profiles people “behind the most important entertainment industry deals of the past 12 months – executives, lawyers, financiers, entrepreneurs and others from all sectors of the business, including film, TV, games, legit, music and digital media.”  The deals include any type of transaction that has “had an undeniable impact on the industry.”
