Jenner & Block Partner Richard L. Stone has been named an “Intellectual Property Trailblazer” by The National Law Journal.  The list honors people who “continue to make their mark in various aspects of legal work in the areas of patent, copyright, trademark and trade secret law.”

The profile of Mr. Stone highlights his work leading the representation of Fox and its related affiliates in a series of ongoing copyright infringement cases that will threaten the current over-the-air broadcasting business model.  As for the future, Mr. Stone observes that the courts will continue to grapple with individuals and organizations playing on the edge of copyright law.  “While our efforts have resulted in precedent-setting decisions in copyright and trademark law that have a lasting impact on law and society, we know that our work is not yet done,” Mr. Stone says. “As new threats to content creators arise, we will continue to support our clients in protecting their valuable intellectual property.”
