Jenner & Block

Firm Named to Global Investigation Review’s "GIR 100"

Jenner & Block has been named to Global Investigation Review’s 2015 list of the top 100 firms from around the world best able to handle sophisticated cross-border government-led and internal investigations.

A profile of the firm in the just-published "GIR 100" (subscription required) highlights our work in FCPA matters, noting that we are known for our foreign bribery investigations and have counseled companies on FCPA compliance in nearly 50 countries.

The profile also focuses on recent monitorships, mentioning Partners Neil M. Barofsky and Thomas J. Perrelli, acting, respectively, as compliance monitors in the Credit Suisse and Citigroup settlements.

Also noted by GIR was the firm’s representation of Chairman Anton R. Valukas as examiner in the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy.

The introduction to the "GIR 100" guide describes the two most important features that distinguish the selected firms as “experience and trust” – trust not only from the client, but also from other law firms and from the enforcers.  The editor points out that these are not things learned in law school, but that they come from “hard work and experience on the ground.”
