Jenner & Block Partners Katya Jestin and Jessie K. Liu have been named to Global Investigation Review’s(GIR) inaugural Women in Investigations special report, highlighting remarkable women in the profession from around the world.

Following an open nomination process, GIR’s editorial team selected a diverse group of private lawyers, government prosecutors, barristers, forensic accountants and in-house counsel – all of whom are, according to GIR, “achieving great things in a competitive and notoriously tough area of law.”

Ms. Jestin, a former federal prosecutor and member of the firm’s White Collar Defense and Investigations Practice, brings her experience in investigations, prosecutions and trials involving fraud, money laundering and other white collar offenses to bear in helping private sector clients protect and defend themselves.  Ms. Liu, co-chair of the firm’s White Collar Defense and Investigations Practice, is also a former assistant US attorney who represents clients in grand jury, congressional and inspector general investigations and has substantial experience in matters involving the False Claims Act and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

In their GIR profiles, Ms. Jestin and Ms. Liu discuss what led to their interest in doing investigations work, the challenges they face and highlights of their careers, among other things.  The profiles can be accessed here.
