Jenner & Block’s award-winning pro bono program offers unparalleled opportunities for learning and development. We strongly encourage associates to use pro bono service to gain more client contact, pursue different areas of interest and develop needed skills and experiences.
Associates can take on a wide range of pro bono cases from appeals to criminal trials, asylum hearings to civil rights litigation. We also offer a variety of pro bono opportunities for transactional lawyers, including representing artists and not-for-profit organizations in transactional matters.
Associates select their own pro bono cases and work with a supervising attorney of their choice. This allows for broader exposure to partners and areas of law and can be an outstanding way for associates to gain experience quickly. There is no limit to the amount of pro bono work that our attorneys can undertake.
