The firm was one of the first supporters of the passage of the Illinois Civil Union Bill. We offer same-sex domestic partner benefit coverage and coverage of transgender surgical procedures through our medical benefits program. The firm also provides an annual “gross-up” tax benefit for same- and opposite-sex domestic partner health benefits.
LGBT Forum Affinity Group
The firm supports the success of LGBT lawyers through the LGBT Forum affinity group. This group enables LGBT lawyers to get together, exchange ideas, identify resources that would help advancement and development, and discuss matters related to improving diversity in the legal profession and at Jenner & Block.
Among other things, this affinity group is spearheading an effort with other organizations, in particular the National Lesbian & Gay Law Association, to ensure that inclusion of gay and lesbian lawyers is part of promoting diversity within our profession.
