Yusuf Esat litigates patent infringement suits across diverse technology fields, frequently in the pharmaceutical and content delivery industries. Yusuf’s practice includes primary responsibility for drafting briefs, patent infringement and invalidity analysis, and case management from pre-suit investigation through appeal. He also counsels clients navigating patent licensing demands, providing technical analysis of claims and developing strategies for resolving the claims.

Yusuf has handled early dispositive motion practice on procedural issues such as venue and personal jurisdiction in addition to substantive patent issues. He also works as a primary contact for fact and expert witnesses and has presented their testimony at trial. Outside of the patent space, Yusuf’s pro bono practice includes securing asylum for a Somali refugee and favorable settlement of a civil rights suit. Yusuf also manages the firm’s mentorship program with Working in the Schools.
