Edward P. McKenna has significant experience in complex civil litigation related to the financial services industry and insurance coverage. In connection with the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy, he participated in the Firm’s investigation and assisted in drafting substantial portions of the Report of Examiner Anton R. Valukas.
In the area of insurance litigation, Edward has worked on myriad coverage issues, including financial services fraud, contractual indemnity, torts, class action, intellectual property, healthcare services, and breaches of contracts and fiduciary duties. He managed the revision process and contributed to several updates of the Firm’s treatise Insurance Coverage Disputes and published an article on AIG’s bailout in 2008 for the online legal publication Lawdragon.
Edward devoted several years to pursuing the employment law claim of a pro bono client in federal district court, to appellate court oral argument, and Supreme Court petition for certiorari. Prior to joining Jenner & Block, he taught rhetoric and writing for two years while obtaining a masters’ degree in English Literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
