Partner Lorelie S. Masters Co-Founds American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel

Jenner & Block Partner Lorelie S. Masters is a founding member of the American College of Coverage and Extracontractual Counsel and serves on its Board of Regents. Formed earlier this year, the College is modeled on the American College of Trial Lawyers and aims to provide quality education for the bench, bar and the insurance industry. Members of the College are recognized authorities in a range of legal and insurance disciplines and must meet eligibility and other requirements. Through the Board of Regents and working committees, the College “shall engage in a wide variety of activities designed to promote those goals, in addition to improving the civility and the quality of the practice of insurance law,” according to its mission statement.

Ms. Masters is a litigator and a member of the Firm’s Insurance Litigation and Counseling Practice. The inaugural edition of Benchmark’s Top 250 Women in Litigation: The Definitive Guide to America’s Leading Women Litigators and Firms named her among the country’s 250 top women litigators in 2012. Chambers & Partners USA has named her one of the country’s leading insurance law attorneys since 2005.  In 2010, Law360 identified her as one of the “10 Most Admired Insurance Attorneys.”  Washington DC Super Lawyers consistently recognizes her for insurance coverage litigation as does The Best Lawyers in America for insurance law.
